Day 25 & 26 | Upper Mid-West Tour

Day 25, Thursday 6/29
Another great day on the bike. I rode with the guy I had met on Wednesday, and we climbed all of the way up White Mountain, and then did a loop on top of White Mountain back to the Events Center.  It was an awesome dirt road, and hardly anything or anyone up there.

We did a 36 mile ride and I was back around 11 am, and in plenty of time to cool down, and shower and get dressed for our Region 6 lunch, and more specifically sit at the table designated for our local group, Music City.  Too bad I thought the lunch was at noon. 😝 When I got back and was Lolly gagging around, I saw a note from Lynn about letting out Sydney and see you at the lunch at 11:30, oops 😅.  I was only a few minutes late, and still sweating, probably from the hot shower and then hopping back on the bike to get to the lunch.

Last night, Wednesday, there was the Airstreams aglow night and here are a couple more pictures.

Day 26, Friday 6/30
I didn’t ride today as there was a Flea Market, and I needed to be there around 8am to set up for the mad rush at 9:00.  I sold a couple of things that we had purchased early on and didn’t need.

Then we had lunch and went on the Wild Horse driving loop.  This is the same dirt road that I had biked a majority of yesterday, but I thought that Lynn would like to be up on the top of the mountain and see some wildlife.  Unfortunately we didn’t see any wild horses, but we did see a family of antelopes.

After that dusty dirt drive we fueled up, and hit the grocery store so we are ready to hit the road tomorrow am.  We also cleaned up some too, washed the very dirty truck again, put the bikes back on the truck and other odds and ends that needed to be done before we leave, just making the day a little easier tomorrow am.

After dinner we went to the closing event tonight with a highly acclaimed band from Las Vegas, unfortunately their marketing is better than they were. 😝 The good news is we were able to come back early and have some ice cream!!

On the road tomorrow and the next 4 days heading home.  We aren’t pushing it hard to get home as it’s July 4th weekend, and we expect a lot of traffic, so we are just going to take it easy, and get back on the 5th.

See ya Rock Springs, till next time.
